Jennifer Manson
BPhEd, BScPT, RCAMPT
Jennifer graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2001 after completing an Honours degree in Physical Health and Education. Over the past 9 years she has worked both in hospital and private clinic settings with a focus on outpatient orthopedics. She is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Orthopedic and Sport Divisions.
Jennifer continues to take numerous courses in order to keep current with new and innovative treatment techniques. Jennifer has completed her Intermediate Certificate of Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapy (Part A’s) and is continuing to pursue her advanced level (Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists) in an effort to continually enhance her skill set.
Each client is provided a full assessment of their injuries/conditions and a specific treatment approach and goals are established using evidence-based research. She utilizes various treatment techniques including: joint mobilizations and manipulations, exercise therapy, core stability exercises, ergonomic information, patient education, acupuncture and modalities in treating a variety of spinal conditions and upper and lower extremity injuries.
Academically, Jennifer has facilitated at the University of Toronto in the Clinical Skills Labs for physiotherapy students and is an examiner for the National Physiotherapy Competency Exam. Her ultimate objective is to create the best experience possible for her clients through client-centered-care, on-going education and personal experience in her clinical practice. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys playing soccer a few times a week, reading a good novel and keeping fit on the Wii.
